Ok, from the girl who created “Vegan Chicken Nugget Parmesan”, today I bring you another Jaq original recipe. She is very proud of this simple recipe she discovered this week, because she had nothing in her apartment to eat. LOL
- Sauté Beyond Meat Steak Tips in a pan with a little olive oil.
- Mix in BBQ sauce. (Technically she got that idea from me a few weeks ago but I’m not going to pop her balloon. LOL)
- Slice a nice thick slice off an onion. A stronger one works better. She said a good ¼ inch thick slice works perfect.
- Grab that last big ole hamburger bun from the back of the fridge that you all know you have. (Her words not mine!)
- Put some Best foods Vegan mayo on both halves.
- Put a big ole spoonful (2 heaping soup spoonfuls work LOL) of the Beyond Meat Steak on one side.
- Place the onion slice on it.
- Add other half. (Yes she went through each step for me so I made sure I “got it down right”)
- Cut in half and enjoy.
She said it reminds her of bbq sandwiches/burgers she use to get at fairs up in Washington when we would visit my grandmother.
So starting last night she is staying with me until Monday. What’s better on a rainy weekend then working out in the morning and spending the whole day with your bff? That and when it’s nice out we feel obligated to be outside doing shit.
Also last night she made me one. I have to say it was pretty fucking awesome. The onion really pairs with the bbq Beyond Meat.
The downside is now she wants to spend the whole weekend “experimenting” with the Beyond Meat Steak Tips in other sandwiches. Sometimes her ideas of what goes well together are not well thought out.
Thank goodness for tequila and weed. LOL
